Today I am grateful my mom came down to visit.  It was the first time she had been here to visit since we moved in.  She had an appointment this morning so she could only stay about 90 minutes, but I'm very grateful that she came down.

Today was a bit of a rough day to find something to be grateful for...three months ago today my dad passed away and I was just unbelievably sad.  I am grateful, however, for the deer family that went running through our yard today.  There were five deer and it was so beautiful and peaceful to be able to see them!

I know that it is awfully early to already be grateful, but I am.  Ever since I went to bed last night, I have been looking forward to today.  I am so grateful that I get to be a stay-at-home mom.  Part of that is selfish because my day is unscheduled until 3:00 when the kids start coming home, but honestly, I am looking forward to the "mundane" things that stay-at-home moms do each day, and I am looking forward to being able to accomplish them in a fairly quiet house!
